Anona Kane Part 3
Ira arrived home from a trip downtown long after Anona had returned from Matt Russell's place that night. She was relieved that he seemed completely unaware of the fact that she'd been out.
She went to bed while Ira read a book, but she couldn't sleep. She lay quietly, listening to the soft sound of pages turning intermittently. Finally midnight came, with the familiar quick honk of a vehicle out front, and he left the house as he usually did.
