Sierra Jones Part 1

01

"There!" said Sierra Jones with a satisfied huff of air. "I think that was the last box out the door." She brushed off her hands and set them on her hips, looking around her new home. It was old. It was dark. It was dated. But it was hers.

Moving out of the dorms was the event Sierra had looked forward to for the last 6 months. She wasn't big on sharing space with others. She'd been wanting a place to call her own for years, really. But the last few months at college had been horrible, with all the wind-up partying going on and the crazy "Llama-Cow" rivalry antics that were daily occurrences.

The silence - as she stood in the middle of her combined dining/living/kitchen/hall area - was golden. She didn't care if the place was old or dark or dated. The sound of silence was worth putting up with the rest of it.
