The Troublefield Tales

Part One

This is the story of David Troublefield, so-named because he is my test character for the Extreme Pirate Challenge. This challenge is to live by digging for treasure only - no outside jobs, no other food growing/gathering of any sort. I knew he'd be digging in a lot of fields, and more than likely come upon a little trouble. I thought the name apt.

As it turns out, if you get lucky, you can make quite a good living from digging for buried treasure. But don't take my word for it. Try it yourself! Rules and other goodies will be found in the future at the Simcastic Designs Challenges Page.

If you want to know more about the challenge, then read on. However, keep in mind that because he was my test sim, he does break some of the challenge rules in this story - like fishing, for instance. I tried fishing as an income (selling the fish out of his backpack, in other words), but he put in far too much time and made way less money with that than he did with digging! I soon gave it up and decided the challenge rules would ix-nay the ishing-fay.
